Venus Awards Final 2017

It’s the social event of the year, where people from all walks of life unite to celebrate women in business in Dorset, and we were behind them every step of the way!

As a company, we pride ourselves on Customer Service, so we decided to be the headline sponsor of this category this year. It’s been a ten-month journey, working with the Venus Awards team, to make it happen, and we are thrilled to say the Grand Finale was a true success for all involved.

Along the way we’ve hosted networking evenings in our office, we have attended events organised by the Venus Awards and watched video entries galore, to understand what customer service means to our nominees.

From photographers, to hotel owners, make-up artists, top company CEO’s and retail owners, our Customer Service category was filled with inspiring women. Some were nominated by colleagues, friends or family, and some nominated themselves (girl power!) It came down to three finalists who were;

Sadie Osborne – Sadie Osborne Photography

Sandy Cristel – Massage and healing therapist

Jayne Rabone – Home Farm Enterprises

The evening was a star-studded affair. We had a table of 10 to enjoy with colleagues and clients, all dressed like the Oscars, as the invite outlined. The Gala Dinner took place in the Solent Hall at the Bournemouth International Centre and the room looked incredible; smartly designed, beautiful flowers and women empowering women all night long.

The Venus Awards is now in its eighth consecutive year in Dorset. The response to the Awards remains consistently strong with over 1400 nominations and applications received over 15 categories. It has been dubbed by Channel 4 as “The Working Women’s Oscars” and the grand finale was the pinnacle of the Venus Awards, celebrating the vital contribution that women in business make to the local, regional, and national economy.

On the night, company CEO Maximillian de Kment, announced the winner of the Customer Service category, which was… Jayne Rabone. A huge congratulations goes to Jayne, we are very proud of you and it’s been a pleasure getting to know you and your business throughout the process.

It’s fair to say, it has been wonderful to experience the Venus Awards as a sponsor. Thank you to Tara Howard and her team, we hope to see you next year!
