Boscombe Regeneration – Boscombe Calender Competition!

Boscombe Through a Lens Calendar Competition!

We’re excited to announce the call-out for entries into our fifth Boscombe Regeneration Calendar! The aim of the calendar is to celebrate all the great things that Boscombe has to offer. We’re inviting local residents to submit their photos of Boscombe, whether they are scenic images of the seafront, the hustle and bustle of market day or picturing day-to-day life in a Boscombe street. All styles of photography including people-shots, landscapes or close-ups are welcome – the only requirement is that they show a connection to Boscombe.
The competition, which is open to amateur photographers of all ages, runs from 20th July until 6th September 2015 and is in support of the Boscombe Regeneration Partnership’s Backing Boscombe campaign to improve the area as a place to live, work and visit.
Boscombe seafront seems to capture people’s imagination as we are always inundated with entries of the beach, seafront and pier but it would be great to see entries which capture the stunning architecture, gardens or independent businesses in Boscombe too!

To enter, residents can upload up to five of their own images to: https://www.flickr.com/groups/boscombe

The entries will be shortlisted and a winning entry chosen by a selection panel consisting of a Boscombe West Ward Councillor, Chair of Boscombe Business Association and a representative from Boscombe Regeneration Partnership.
The lucky winner will be rewarded with £100 of high street vouchers and their winning image featured in Boscombe Regeneration Partnership’s 2016 calendar. Eleven runner-ups will also be selected with their image also featuring in next year’s calendar. The calendar will be available free of charge from Boscombe Library and the Boscombe Regeneration office.
