Looking for some fun and frolics across October half term and November?
It’s definitely time to wrap up, grab a hot chocolate and we’ve listed some events that have caught our eye which we think is worth a visit over the next month. Even the spoooooky ones!
Bournemouth Fireworks
Bournemouth’s biggest and best-loved fireworks party is sure to go with a bang at the Littledown Centre. It’s the only fireworks event on the south coast with three top quality displays set to music at 7pm, 8pm and, at 9pm.
As well as the three fireworks displays there’s the free-entry indoor Family Fun Zone, with the amazing wildlife collection of Crazy Creatures, the inflatable zone and the brilliant Get Up & Groove disco.
Be sure to stick around for the giant late-night funfair, licensed bar and refreshments!
Poole Zombie Fest
Zombies will once again be taking over Poole town centre after a successful debut event in 2018. The 2019 event will take place on October 26, and has been organised by Poole Business Improvement District (BID) and Zombie Escapes HQ.
Poole Zombie Fest is a free, fun day of spook-tacular activities taking place on the High Street down to Poole Quay. All visitors are encouraged to wear zombie fancy dress and visit the special effects team and face painting stands, where experts will be on hand throughout the day to add the finishing touches to costumes, ahead of the Zombie Parade at 3pm.
The parade of the undead creatures will make its way along the High Street and towards the quay as part of the Festival.
Highcliffe Charity Players presents Cats
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats is a magical musical like no other – a magnificent all-singing, all-dancing spectacular with inspired choreography, mischievous costumes and a superb score that includes the unforgettable ‘Memory’. Based on T.S. Eliot’s whimsical collection of poems, ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats’, it brings together a tribe of Jellicle Cats on a moonlit evening, who must make the ‘Jellicle choice’ to decide which of them will ascend to the mysterious Heaviside Layer and be reborn.
