Upcoming Events In Poole, Bournemouth & Christchurch

Summer is coming! As the weather starts to warm up the events calendar across Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch gets into full swing. Here’s our pick of the top 10 events you won’t want to miss!

  1. Christchurch Cheese & Chilli Festival, 28th – 29th May

    The only show in the UK which celebrates both Cheese and Chilli within a festival setting. The event comprises chilli eating competitions, circus & fire performers, cooking demonstrations, taste tents, crazy golf, live music and a whole lot more besides.

  2. Jubilee Picnic At Upton Country Park, 2nd June

    Celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in the Walled Garden at the stunning Upton Country Park with live music from Swing Unlimited’ s Community Big Band. Bring your own picnic or purchase one from the Tea Rooms.

  3. Bournemouth 7’s, 2nd – 5th June

    The worlds largest sports and music festival attracting over 30,000 people to the Bournemouth each year. The event combines live sports such as Rugby, Netball & Dodgeball with fantastic live music, food and entertainment.

  4. Christchurch Food Festival, 2nd – 5th June

    Christchurch Food Festival is a huge celebration of great food and drink, chef demonstrations, music & entertainment and even a popular sheep show. A great open-air showcase of Christchurch!

  5.  Poole Seafood Festival, 3rd – 5th June

    Dorset’s only free entry Seafood Festival, specialising in local delicacies. Indulge in the champagne & oyster bar or grab a refreshing local ale, cider or wine. With a great line-up of local musicians and various stalls offering a range of arts & crafts.

  6. Sandbanks Sandpolo, 8th -9th July

    Poole hosts the British Beach Polo Championships which is one of the largest beach polo events in the world. The event combines live polo with great food and an evening party on both days, both with a different theme.

  7. Sandfest, 10th July

    Sandfest is a firm fixture on the summer calendar with top class acts performing on the stunning Sandbanks Beach.

  8. Groove On The Green, 15th – 16th July

    Ashley Cross plays host to Groove On The Green which celebrates it’s 20th anniversary this year. The event combines live music on the main stage with a private gin bar and real ale and cider tent stocking the best that Dorset can offer. There is also a wide variety of family fun activity’s including children’s rides, games and arts & crafts.

  9. Poole Quay Summer Fireworks, Every Thursday Between 21st July – 25th August

    Every Thursday between the 21st of July and the 25th of August Poole Quay enjoys a party atmosphere with live music, entertainment and family fun before finishing with a firework finale over the largest natural harbour in Europe.

  10. Bournemouth Air Festival, 1st – 4th September

    The UK’s largest Air festival with a weekend of exciting entertainment on land, sea and air with a full 4 days of displays by the Red Arrows and a whole lot more besides!
