Alum Chine is a suburb of Bournemouth in the South West of England, located just south of Westbourne. One of Bournemouth’s famous chines that cuts into the cliff face Alum Chine offers a beautiful tropical garden which overlooks the beach, children’s play area and a foot suspension bridge this considered a historical landmark.
The main access to the top of the chine is from Alum Chine Road with other access paths from various points off West Overcliff Drive and the side roads of Alumhurst Road. You can walk from from Alum Chine to nearby Westbourne Village or to Alum Chine’s Blue Flag sandy beaches.
An affluent area, housing comes at a premium and some of the houses bordering the Chine even have their own private access.
Neighbouring Westbourne village offers a wide range of boutique shops, fashionable bars, trendy bistros and coffee shops with the Victorian Arcade as its centre piece. There are also a range of larger chains such as an M&S Food Hall, Boots and Costa within close proximity.
