Hamworthy is a suburb of Poole, sited on a peninsula of approximately 3 square kilometres in Poole Harbour, one of the world’s largest natural harbours and one of the most beautiful parts of the British Isles.
There are many reasons to explore Hamworthy, whether it be commercial, recreational, military or environmental. It is an internationally important area for nature conservation, most of the shoreline is a Special Protection Area. The sites around the Harbour are also designated as areas of outstanding natural beauty whilst the southern shores have Heritage Coast status. It also hosts a large maritime community, both business and leisure.
The main areas are around Hamworthy are Rockley Park, Cobbs Quay/Harbourside, Lake Side and Central Hamworthy.

The adjoining beach has beautiful coastal views, lovely blue lake scenery and a natural woodland to explore. Rockley Park also offers an array of leisure facilities including; two heated swimming pools, an outdoor flume and climbing wall for the children to play.
The Yachtsman Pub – A family friendly pub located in the village of Hamworthy on the edge of Poole. This a friendly, quality English village pub that loves dogs. Come Summertime there is a large open garden to enjoy with outside seating. Come the colder months there is a roaring log fire, flagstone floors and oak beams for that cosy and warm atmospheric setting.
Hamworthy railway station offers a twice hourly service to London Waterloo on the South West Main Line. The Poole and Twin sails bridges connects the suburb with Poole town centre. International Flights to Europe from Bournemouth Airport and access to France and The Channel Islands from Port of Poole. Local buses also offer easy access into Poole & Bournemouth
